调解员认为确有必要到外地察看调查的，调解人员的食宿、交通费用等实际开支，按合理的费用标准向当事人收取。
如调解程序因故中止，调解中心可根据调解工作的进展情况和实际开支，适当返还当事人预交的部分调解费。

Where the amount of claim is not ascertained at the time when applying for mediation or there exists special circumstances, the amount of mediation fee shall be determined by the Secretariat of the mediation Center. If the mediator or mediators consider(s) it really necessary to make inspection or investigation in places other than the place of mediation, the meals, accommodation, travel and other actual expenses of the mediator(s) shall be collected from the parties at a reasonable charge standard. In case the mediation procedure is suspended, the mediation Center may charge a certain amount of fees from the parties according to the quantity of work and the amount of the actual expenses and refund the remaining part of mediation fees to the parties.
